May Flowers

You know the saying “April showers bring May flowers” well; In Wisco that saying is a little behind schedule. So while for some, the spring season is almost over for us in the Midwest it feels like it’s just getting starting except, we’ve still had a bunch of rain. Since I’m not the most patient person and the rain keeps falling, I figured I would go ahead and dress in floral print anyway. Come spring and summer I do everything in my power to wear things that are lightweight and flowy. I’m a May baby, so I take the ‘flower child’ thing serious! Give me all the flowers, lace, and ruffles.

Your girl loves a good maxi skirt! This one was no exception, buttons down the front and a slit down the middle made this edgier color scheme a little sweeter. Maroon is a perfect transition color from fall to winter all the way back to spring and vise vera; the white top brings the summer vibe to the look especially with the off the shoulder style. While I know my shoulders aren’t the smallest,  they are definitely one of my favorite parts of my body so, I try and expose them as often as possible. I honestly believe that the more confident you feel, the better you look. This look is so easy to dress up or down. Absolutely a repeat outfit, it can be used for any occasion.

Look two was probably my favorite of the two and definitely a go-to outfit for the summer. These flowy shorts are by far the best thing that has happened to me when it comes to shorts. You honestly can’t go wrong with a pair of shorts like these for summer because they are so light, easy to wear and, cute as heck. I was serious when I said, “I try to expose my shoulders as much as possible.” Pairing it with the black off the shoulder was a risky move (so I thought) but looking at it now, was definitely the right move; especially for those chilly nights.

Let me know which outfit was your favorite and what your summer must have’s are!

  1. Maxis. Maxis. MAXIS! Did I mention I love maxis? Skirts & dresses. They have never failed me. Except sometimes they’re a little long or I’m a little short, all depends how you look at it. But then you get a cute wedge & problem solved.
